I'm sorry I haven't updated your guys sooner, I have been really busy with school work that I found out I'm a little bit behind if I want to get my certificate on time. Tuesday of last week I went down to New Orleans Tulane University to see the urologist that would be doing the surgery to give me the bladder augmentation that I've been wanting for so long now. Let me just give you a detailed instructions of my day basically!
We left the house around 8 o'clock, did not get there until around 12 and my appointment wasn't until 2 o'clock. So we ate lunch which took this a good hour because we ate in the cafeteria. I have to give them an A+ on the cafeteria food because they have a variety of different foods from different cultures that you can choose from. So we went to the lobby around 130 because they told us we needed to be there 30 minutes early to allow paperwork time. We waited in the lobby for three hours before finally getting called back into her room, where we waited another hour before actually getting to see the doctor.
The doctor came in and told me that I was a candidate for the surgery but he wanted to try a surpubic and that didn't work come back any year and try something else. Obviously that is not what I want I want to go ahead and get the surgery done and do like my urologist in Baton Rouge agreed. She wants to go ahead and do a bladder augmentation where you expand the capacity of my bladder, so up my urethra, and make a port into my belly button which I can catheterize myself. That's not what this doctor wanted to do and it made all of us so mad because if we tried to count them but not what we wanted to do you would just stop us right there. He basically told me that I did not have a choice that he was going to do what he wanted to do.

I'm sorry but that's not how it works, this is my body and therefore it is my choice

Needless to say another timely left that office everyone was so mad that they were exhausted and took us another five hours to get home. After a very long day before had no answers and when the surgery would be and if they were even going to be a surgery at all. While I'm waiting on my urologist to get back to me in Baton Rouge I am continuously leaking which is causing skin issues! What am I supposed to do now!? I guess it's back to the waiting game for a while.

Update on my foot I burned to a few weeks ago!
My foot is looking tremendous I am on antibiotics for a UTI that is also for skin infections which will help it from getting infected. The skin pressure ulcer under my pinky tell my right foot that recently got healed broken open again because of the blood blister. We think it is because my foot cannot heal all the way the first time therefore left an opening before a calloused over. I do not know why my body's defense is calloused over everyone might unfortunately it is, so I would have to be more careful and watch the way it heals.

I also started the application to become a service dog owner! It is a waiting list of two years but I figure in two years I should be able to drive, have my own house, and had everything settled down enough to go train for a service dog. It would help me tremendously in the long run and have a dog dedicate pick up things that I drop on the floor.
On the positive note I had filled out the application to send back to the people in Houston to do the driving evaluation. All I have to do now is wait for their reply and get my driving permit. Jena offers a driving school that does the class once a month so I am trying to get a hold of them to see what I need to do in order to do that first. I have to have my drivers permit before I can go and see them as requested on the application. All I can say is wish me luck!
