I got to ride with Jessica in my mom's 2003 Ford Mustang for the first time in almost nine years!! It was so nice, kinda reminds me of the times before my accident.

Shes getting so big!! Lola is so curious when out of the pouch but never crabs. She hardly ever cries either. She's still available for adoption if you visit our website loveaglider.com While on the side by side this weekend I burnt the pure crap out of my big toe! If it's not one thing it's another with me. My foot and butt start looking great and I go off and get something else hurt! Its a funny story behind my toe but you'll have to wait for a video I'm going to try to film tomorrow. I can't find my cameras battery cover to use my camera so it'll be on my phone but I'll get to use the new editing software I got. It looks so great!! It's almost healed completely. Please don't mind the other dead skin, we are waiting till my wound is healed completely before we buff off the dead skin. If you have a spinal cord injury please take care of your skin! I cannot stress this enough, pressure sores are the number one cause of health problems!!
This week I got some great news! The skin problems has completely reversed itself!! We got some Silvadene from the doctor for the burns on my butt and since putting them on it it has completely reversed itself! I am now not as worried. The wound on my foot has also started healing even better now! Hopefully in a few weeks my foot will be healed completely and I can start on the to get my feet in a normal position. We are getting my baclofen pump up to every week now so hopefully I will start saying I difference very soon.
This is my favorite image from today! As many of you know I've been having major skin issues stemming from my urinary track infection. Today was a real shocker! After I got a bath I decided that I would get on the floor to get off my butt for a while.I had no idea my skin issues was this bad but unfortunately they are. The next image is very disturbing so I have put a blur effect on it just to give you an idea of what is going on with my skin. We don't have a clue as to what's causing this but we are trying to clear it up. I go to the urologist March 27 and I will be getting a urinary test done and I will be showing them what my urine and discharge is doing to my skin. Until it looks a whole lot better I am having to stay until a lot to get off my butt. I will be getting on the floor as much as possible to help get this to clear up. If I absolutely have to I will be getting in the bed for a while so I stay off of it 24/7. Please pray that I do not have to because I hate getting in the bed because I am stuck and will not be able to see my babies or use my phone very much.
The last week has been one of the most challenging times I think I have ever been through with my injury. Jessica was giving me a bath Sunday and my blood pressure spiked so high that my autonomic dsyerflrxia gave me the lovely gift of a pounding headache. This is a warning sign my body gives me telling me something is either hurting, rubbing, or binding me. These headaches are so painful it's like someone is drilling into your skull while you're awake and no anesthetic. Things only started getting worse from there. As I have told you guys in a previous post my feet has been fighting so bad here lately that they ripped off my toenail. I had to get it removed during therapy Tuesday so it would get hung on anything else and hurt even more. So Thursday we went to the neurologist to get my baclofen pump bumped up again. When the therapist tried to put me on the mat in long sitting my blood pressure done the same thing. We all rubbed it off saying it's because I haven't slept in 48 hours. Every time I'd lay back my blood pressure would give me one of the painful headaches. Three days go by without the ability to sleep because of these headaches so I know something is wrong. We go to the doctors and he ran blood work and done a culture on my urine. He gave me something to help me sleep and sent us on our way.
We come home to get the urine sample and my head goes to pounding so hard that it sends me into a panic attack. I was so scared because its never done it so fiercely before. Jessica takes me to the small hospital here in Jena. That was the worse mistake ever. They didn't know what to do. I was trying to explain about my injury but they didn't beileve me. It was humiliating. So needless to say three hours later we walk out of there with no answers. |
