I’ll Settle for a Slowdown...

Hey guys!
It’s been a while since the last time I was able to write for y’all. It’s been crazy so since I don’t have much time I’m going to sum up what’s been going on in my life.
  1. I went to Houston: it was a great experience with great people! I got to meet with another young woman who was also involved in a ATV accident at 14, now 16, and is a C5/6 quadriplegic. If she lets me I’ll post her story soon! I got a new tattoo! I spent two days with a driving instructor and it was determined that I need to try to strengthen some muscles to be able to use the manual controls. I’ll go back at the end of the summer to try again.
  2. I got contacts! I decided to ditch the glasses and go with contacts that stay in for up to 30 days.
  3. I went to Wyoming to visit my best friend and be a bridesmaid in her wedding. It was so cold but I had so much fun! I can’t wait to see her again and see my new best friend in law again too. He’s a sweetheart.
  4. I stay with friends I met in Missouri on my way home which was so much fun! I can’t wait to see them again too!!
  5. We had a huge crawfish boil as soon as we came home. It was two of my close family members birthday plus the neighbors birthday.
  6. I started physical therapy and occasional therapy again too. In PT I’ll be working on my core muscles and my ankles to get my feet contractions calmed down to be able to stand. In OT I’ll be working on strengthening what muscles are needed to use the manual controls.
As you all can see I’ve been so busy and I have so much coming up too. I’m going to give you a little bit of a heads up on my schedule.
  1. I go to New Orleans to do a six month check up on my surgery. Everything has been going well but my MACE stoma has closed enough I’m unable to push my 12 French catheter through it. I’m hoping that it’s just needing a smaller catheter and I’ll be able to stretch it back.
  2. I have a weekend planned with someone.
  3. Jessica starts Beauty school.
  4. I have school work to do in order to get my diploma on time.
  5. I have a transcription job to do and get paid.
