Once we got to the vet and having to wait for about an hour and a half we got in to see the vet. She took a look at both tails and said that they were doing good on their own so she wouldn't suggest messing with them due to the chance they self mutilate the area. She said if the area around the wounds becomes red, hot, and inflamed then they could do surgery. The wounds were not infected and they should heal on their own. I was so glad because I knew the amount it cost to get the first surgery on Asia and if both of them had to have surgery then I'd have to pay about $650! Thank goodness it was only $68 instead. We got so lucky there.
By the time we left there Jessica was hungry so we try three different fast food places and not a one was surviving dinner yet. So she pulls out and hits one of the concrete ledges and it breaks a antifreeze line. We shrugged it off until it started to smoke in an outside the car. We got to a mechanic and they look at it before telling us that the undercarriage is in pretty bad shape. The mechanic could make it road safe but the back air and heater wouldn't work. We called my dad and he came out to look at it and make sure the place wasn't taking advantage of us. He got to look under the van and decided that it was in too bad of shape and to get us a new one. I was so excited because I could now get one that I like and something that I could learn to drive safely in. I'm so excited!
Once finished at the mechanic shop we head over to the baby doctor and wait there for what felt like forever. We get a sonogram and find out it's a girl for sure and that she's got something wrong with her lung. They will be sending her to a high risk Doctor in Lafayette which is the closest one. Great that means that if I get pregnant I will have to go all the way to Lafayette. Grr
