April Annette Otwell

At 14 April was living life just like any other girl at that age. She had a boyfriend, two best friends and a family that loved her. One cold February morning, an ATV rollover changed not only her life but entire family's lives. It's been eleven years now and she is still continuing to beat the odds the doctor handed her.

She is not a textbook, "I'm not giving in to what the doctors say." This website is dedicated to her, everything happens for a reason. She has taken this horrible accident and turned it around and show everyone that she is not giving into this paralysis. They will find a cure for spinal cord injuries, and she will walk again one day.

In January 2016 April lost her mother to an illness that clouded her judgment and ultimately took her life. Through all that has happened April she's healing and grieving. It will be a long process to come to terms with life without her mother and primary caregiver. She's staying as positive as she can be in this event and taking one step at a time. She knows that she's in a better place with God and no longer effected by the illness. She's on her journey to figure out who she is without her mom.
